The concept of this collection takes from its name ‘3eib’ which means “shame” in arabic. @noorturk: "As a Palestinian woman I wanted to take a controversial approach of the my Arab society. As woman we are often shamed from doing certain activities, as such wearing revealing clothing, or even socializing with the other gender.
These manners are often considered taboo by our society, but I don’t believe that woman being empowered and having basic human rights should be considered taboo. We should celebrate and embrace our woman for all their beauty.
I want to spread a message that it’s okay to embrace your body and to be less modest than other woman, and that it's beautiful to be confident with our sexuality, and that woman’s bodies aren’t dirty nor are the acts of self pleasure, rather they are completely normal and not an sinful act if done by a woman. Woman should not be shunned by society, woman should be celebrated."
